This Privacy Policy explains how Accumula handles information when you use the Accumula iOS app and when you submit the in-app/website support form. It is provided for informational purposes and is not legal advice.
Accumula is a time-tracking app. Most of your project and session data is stored locally on your device and is only accessible to you. Content you enter is sent off-device when you contact support via the support form (or when you enable optional calendar integration). Visiting our website or calling our hosted API also generates technical data handled by our hosting and logging providers as described below.
A. Data you enter in the app (stored locally)
The app lets you create projects and log study/work sessions. This includes (for example) project names, icons, targets, session start/end times, titles, and notes. In the current version, this information is stored on your device (for example, using local app storage).
B. Attachments (Pro)
If you are using Pro and attach files or photos to a session, those files are stored on your device as app data.
C. Optional calendar integration
If you enable calendar integration, the app creates recurring reminder events in your calendar using the iOS Calendar framework (EventKit). Your calendar events are managed by your device and are visible to you through your calendar app.
D. Support submissions
When you submit the support form (in the app or on the website), we collect the information you enter, such as your name (optional), your reply email (required so we can respond), message contents, and basic app metadata (app version/build). Our server also records technical data needed to deliver the request and reduce abuse, including your IP address and browser or app user agent, and may apply rate limits or blocks when necessary. We then forward that submission to support email delivery infrastructure so we can respond to you.
E. Purchases
If you purchase Pro, Apple handles the payment and entitlements. Accumula does not receive your payment card details.
F. Website and infrastructure logs
When you load pages on our website or our server processes an API request (including the support endpoint), our hosting platform and connected services may automatically record technical information such as IP address, timestamps, request paths, HTTP status, approximate region derived by the provider, browser or app user agent, and error or diagnostic messages. We use these logs to operate the site, troubleshoot issues, measure reliability, and detect abuse.
We use local data to power the features of the app (dashboard, project tracking, and session history). We use support submissions to respond to your message and to improve the app. If you enable calendar integration, we create reminder events you requested. We use hosting and log data to run our website and API securely, investigate incidents, and enforce rate limits or blocks when appropriate.
A. Support email delivery
Support submissions are sent to our serverless backend and then delivered to email using a third-party email delivery service/provider (via SMTP). Those providers process your submitted information solely to deliver the message and to enable support operations.
B. Apple and platform services
For purchases, Apple App Store services are used. For calendar integration, iOS EventKit is used.
C. Hosting and observability
Our website and API are hosted on a cloud platform (for example, Vercel), which processes the technical information described above. We may forward platform and application logs to an observability or log management provider (for example, Axiom) so we can search, monitor, and retain logs for security and operations. Those providers process such information as service providers on our behalf and in accordance with their terms and our configuration.
A. Local app data
Your projects and session history are stored locally on your device. If you delete the app or clear its data, the locally stored information is removed. Export/backup files created by you remain under your control.
B. Support submissions
Support submissions may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and to investigate issues.
C. Logs
Infrastructure and application logs are retained according to our hosting platform, observability provider, and team practices—typically for a limited period appropriate for security and debugging unless a longer period is required for a legal or safety issue.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information submitted through the support form and to secure app functionality. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your device and usage, you can manage your local app data by editing or deleting projects/sessions and by uninstalling the app. For support submissions, you can contact us through the app support form to request information about your submission.
Accumula is intended for general audiences. If you believe a child has submitted information to us through the support form, please contact us via the in-app support form.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
The safest way to contact support is to use the in-app Support & Feedback form. This is where you can submit your message without needing to share additional information.
